Fuji is relatively new to the mainstream professional camera market.

In the pre-digital era, Fuji focused predominantly on high-quality specialist equipment. Its medium format 6x4.5 and 6x7 rangefinders were fantastic and its 6x17 panoramic camera produced images that were second-to-none (nothing digital comes close, even today).

In contrast, Fuji's X-series digital cameras locked horns with the market leaders; Canon, Sony, Nikon.

Fuji has launched both profession and semi-professional cameras and lenses. Its lenses, in particular, are stunning.

Take, as an example, the 50-140mm f2.8 XF, one of its pro series lenses. Optically it is astonishing and it is built to withstand day-to-day professional use.

This is just one lens from an impressive range. Definitely worth a look if you are upgrading.
