If you yearn for the old days, and sometimes find your Canon, Nikon or Fuji a bit overwhelming, here's the camera for you.

The 501CM is Hasselblad's last fully mechanical film camera. It produces beautiful 6x6cm images on 120 roll film. Its Zeiss lenses are second-to-none.

You set the aperture and shutter speeds manually and focus through the folding waist-level viewfinder. After every shot (the shutter fires with a reassuring mechanical thump) the film is advanced, by hand, using the fold-out crank.

There's no meter or any other form of electronic 'gimmickry'.

Photography at its best.
